Are meat that are left in a crockpot safe?

My sister was told to put the meat into the fridge when they cooled down. I woke up to find them out still, after 10 hours. I know that usually it wouldn't be safe to eat, but the temperature was at least 70 degrees and maybe no bacteria could have entered it because the crock pot had the lid on. All i am hoping is to get some more opinions because if not, my moms going to be pissed off since its new years day and that was supposed to be our dinner. Anyway, Do you think It's safe to consume meat that are left in a crock-pot for 10 hours given the cirstances i listed?
