Do you think that it is evil to try and know a person inside out and reveal to them every petty "truth" about?

themselves? For example, i would say that even people of quality or greatness have their weak, petty and small moments. If I were to be a writer of these people, i would point out their best qualities. Is it more evil for a person to tear down a person by magnifying their short comings or bringing out flaws that are best kept alone?
